Miriam Peterson

Miriam Peterson is a principal at Peterson Rich Office, an interdisciplinary design studio based on Gowanus, Brooklyn. PRO has been recognized for work at multiple scales, from awards by Architizer and the American Institute of Architects, to feature articles in the New York Times. Recent awards include the ‘New Practice New York’ prize by the AIA, 2018 ‘Design Vanguard’ by Architectural Record, and 2020 Emerging Voices by The Architectural League of New York.

Miriam was recently named the inaugural Richard Kaplan co-Chair for Regional Design at the Regional Plan Association where she will be providing design support for the RPA’s planners and policy on a study of the New York City Housing Authority.

Miriam holds a BA in Economics and Italian Literature from Cornell University and an M.Arch I from Yale University School of Architecture, where she was awarded the William Edward Parsons Memorial Medal for the student showing the most promise in urban design.
