Dimitra Tsachrelia

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Dimitra is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at Columbia GSAPP. She received her Diploma in Architecture from Patras University, School of Architecture in Greece. She holds the M.S Degree in Advanced Architectural Design with honors from Columbia University GSAPP (‘08) and is an AIA New York associate member. Dimitra has given lectures in New York and abroad on the intertwining of architecture research and practice. In 2017, she presented her work ‘Sustain / Ability’ as the official Greek participation at the 21st Triennale in Milan “21st Century. Design after Design”.

As an Associate at Steven Holl Architects (SHA), Dimitra is contributing to the design of academic and art institutions since 2008. Among other projects she has worked on the Campbell Sports Center in New York, the Glasgow School of Art; and was the project architect for the Institute for Contemporary Art for the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, which opens in April 2018.

Dimitra is currently the Director of exhibitions and publications at SHA and the Educational Projects Director at the Steven Myron Holl Foundation (SMHF). She recently completed the exhibition design and coordination for ‘Steven Holl: Making Architecture’ on view at the Dorsky Museum, New Paltz New York, February 10 - July 15, 2018.
