Gregory Kahn Melitonov is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia GSAPP.
Melitonov’s research focuses on community engagement and design-build projects, seeking out opportunities to create social infrastructure in complex urban environments. The past five years of his educational non-profit, Fundamental Design-Build, were recently exhibited at Art Omi in the Hudson Valley entitled Shared Space—Collective Practices.
Subsequent research has been supported by an Architecture Fellowship at Art Omi in 2018. In 2019, Melitonov was a recipient of the MacDowell Fellowship in Architecture, offering creative individuals of the highest talent an inspiring environment in which they can produce enduring works of the imagination.
Melitonov received the 2019 Architectural League Prize. In 2016, he received the AIA New York New Practices Award.
Melitonov earned an M.Arch in 2010 from Yale University and a B.S. from Skidmore College in 2004.
