Life Within The Gaps

The Housing Project aims to empower and cultivate the residents through diverse types of public & semi-private spaces, primarily through artistic endeavor related spaces to a series of shared amenities for the inhabitants. These ‘artistic endeavor’ spaces are located adjacent to portals, carved out open hallways, where visitors can witness the activities taking place all around them. These portals, acting as datums, not only bring the public into the housing project, directing the public from the outer side of the building to the inner side, but also become connectors for collective activities for the residents. As a whole, the housing project will not only empower the residents, but it will also foster a sense of community and belonging among the residents and the surrounding neighborhood.
