Iceberg: In Between the Surface

The project represents a metaphor logic from three different perspectives (volume, position, melting) of the Iceberg painting by Frederic Church. We apply the concept of iceberg volume above and below the surface through plans, sections and elevation views. The approach to the project is very gentle to the existing but strong in concept. The emphasis of the blue and teal membrane is aimed to represent the understanding of the Iceberg painting and how we want people to have the spacial experience of the painting through the circulations, lights, shadows, ceiling heights, views, etc daily and seasonally.
