Shop Access

Making Studio Access

Shop Orientation Video

Shop Orientation Contract

Before attending the shop, all GSAPP students need to complete a full new safety orientation. This is true for new students as well as returning students.

*The shops are open to GSAPP (only) student access without distancing requirements. Face masks are no longer required in our spaces, but are highly recommended. Laser cutting appointments are bookable in person.

  • The Making Studio shops have limited availability for the first few weeks of the summer due to hiring and training of new shop staff. Our current hours can be seen below, and will be updated as the summer progresses. Though we are no longer limiting occupant density to COVID-era guidelines, we do have safe occupancy limits which will be enforced periodically with demand.

There is limited storage space for in-progress models in the 24-7 room.

  • This does not include raw materials – papers, hardware, mixes, etc… take these with you
  • Tag your work with a colored project tag, or your models will be removed.
  • No food or drink is permitted in the shops.
