Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga established the firm Barozzi / Veiga in Barcelona in 2004. From 2007 to 2010, Barozzi was appointed Project Professor at the International University of Catalonia in Barcelona and since 2009 he has been Associate Professor of Architectural Design at the University of Girona. He was Visiting Professor at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia in 2013 and 2014. He currently is Visiting Professor at MIT.
The work of Barozzi / Veiga has been recognized with several awards, including the Ajac Award (2007), the Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Award (2011), the Gold Medal for Italian Architecture (2012), the Young Talent of Italian Architecture (2013), the Design Vanguard Award (2014) and more recently, the Mies van der Rohe Award (2015).
