A lecture by Eyal Weizman, professor of Spatial and Visual Cultures and founding director of the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London, and founder of Forensic Architecture.

The lecture is co-organized by the GSAPP Dean’s Office and the MS in Computational Design Practices program. Response by Dean Andrés Jaque and Professor Laura Kurgan, MSCDP Program Director.

Eyal Weizman is a professor of Spatial and Visual Cultures and founding director of the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2010 he founded the research agency Forensic Architecture and has directed it ever since. Forensic Architecture is an interdisciplinary team of researchers that produce evidence for presentation in national and international courts, human rights forums, parliamentary inquiries, truth commissions, people’s tribunals, and also in art and cultural forums.

This lecture will be held in person and is accessible to Columbia University affiliates with a valid green pass, and will be live-streamed for the general public on the GSAPP YouTube Channel.
