Prizes & Awards

Please complete the forms listed below to receive your prize funds. All documentation must be submitted via e-mail to the Awards Team in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs (awards@arch.columbia.edu) by Thursday, August 1, 2024. If your prize is a travel award, these documents must be submitted three months before you plan to travel in order to allow time for the prize funds to be issued. All travel prizes must comply with Columbia University’s travel guidelines.

Submit the following to the Awards Team in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs (see the “Submitting Documentation” section below):

List the prize(s) you received as well as your contact information, including: long-term e-mail address, phone number, and a deliverable USPS mailing address where you will receive mail at least three months after submitting your paperwork. Please note that the University does not accept PO Box addresses on any forms. Recipients of the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize should complete a Prize Request Form specifically for the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize, separate from the Prize Request Form for any other prize(s) received.
Please note that prizes may be taxed at varying rates depending on the IRS regulations/tax treaty specific to your country. Those taxes may be taken out of the prize amount when it is issued. If you have any questions, please check the IRS website. We are not allowed to provide tax advice of any kind.
Payment will be issued via direct deposit (for domestic bank accounts) or wire transfer (for foreign bank accounts). After e-mailing your prize award packet to the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, you will receive further instructions on how to set up your payee profile, including filling out relevant tax forms.

Documents should be combined into a single PDF and e-mailed to:
