As more carbon is released into the atmosphere and rising temperatures make arid climates more extreme, climate refugees will need new places to live. Land all over the world is becoming too dry to farm on, and we have wars ignited by drought. Reversing desertification is rapidly becoming a top priority in addressing climate change. Last Resort is a place of healing where climate refugees are welcomed and explore the methods of reversing desertification so that they can return home, if they choose, and save the land. Through livestock herd mimicry (a holistic farming practice), mixed with tree cultivation, communities learn how to capture carbon and heal the soil for the duration of a 4-month crop cycle.
