Trilateral Connection: Symbiosis of Water, Economy and Ecology

Kechene is a community of artisans located in the foothills of the Entoto Mountains in the north of Addis Ababa. This project aims to reduce erosion, cleans the waterways, designs local maker spaces and connect crafts people & artisans to markets and available natural resources. Nearby abundant forests, rivers and human resources can be leveraged in a more synergistic manner to improve environmental quality and supply the much needed resources to support daily life for Kechene’s residents.This project reduces erosion, cleans the waterways, designs local maker spaces and connects crafts people & artisans to markets and available natural resources.
