To Fold

Project by Yutian Zhu& To Quynh Pham @zozoo_tt

Folding creates voids for light, air, water, and vertical connection. With the programs are clearly divided into public (gallery, library, auditorium) and private (residential, art studio, office). Public spaces are prioritized on the ground and basement levels, where they have direct access to the street. Though they feel divided, these programs are vertically connected via the courtyards, where they could have visual continuity and maintain social discontinuity.
