Observations at the City Hall Park. A rectangle, planted with colorful flowers, framed by a cast iron fence. The surrounding streets become an urban scale white cube. With the human becoming just an observer, he is located outside of nature. But do we really perceive this understanding of nature in our everyday lives?
The design takes this question as a starting point. It negates the established human relationship towards nature. Instead of being the exploiter, the human becomes part of nature. Former pavement stones built three installations, slowly dissolving into an entropic order. A labyrinth changing through the strength of tree roots. A sequence changing through the rain. And a box of cards changing through imbalance. The final outcome: unknown. Nature captures the human-made. Changes and redefines it.
The observer sees something different now: the human is located within nature. Intertwined and connected, yet not in its center.
