Harlem Housing

In New York, a city where architectural barriers often mirror societal divisions, individuals move through urban spaces shrouded in solitude despite the city’s interwoven fabric. Our housing project aspires to transcend these invisible boundaries. We envision a home that extends beyond its conventional borders, incorporating a transformative “third space”. This new paradigm fosters warmth, inclusivity, and a potent sense of community, dissolving the traditional barriers that fuel urban loneliness. With the infusion of enriched communal areas into private sanctuaries, our design nurtures a habitat where residents not only coexist but flourish together in harmony, fostering a thriving, interconnected co-living community, and breaking free from the chains of urban alienation.
