The Ecological Adaptation Contingent imagines a national peacetime mobilization effort centered around (1) unbuilding interstate infrastructure, (2) planting corridors of ecologically adaptive tree species, and (3) constructing porous superstructures to harvest trees and produce Mass Timber. It is told as a gay science fiction romance novella.
