Lorenzo Perri

Lorenzo Perri is an architect, educator, and co-founder of Lemonot—a multidisciplinary platform based between London, New York, and Italy, blending spatial and relational practices. They explore the multiform dynamics of public space, operating through architecture and performative arts—using them as tools to detect, celebrate, and trigger the spontaneous theatre of everyday life.

Their projects aim to re-invent the relationships between urban fabric and human rituals through a wide range of media: from short films, objects, and inhabitable sculptures to scenographies, convivial architecture, and party machines. They relentlessly seek new opportunities for togetherness and inclusivity with a contextual yet transterritorial approach: they observe sensitively while defining the spatial languages of novel, peculiar 1:1 experiences to empower alternative narratives and unexpected interactions.

In other words, Lemonot explores new ways for architects to initiate unconventional acts of place-making. They often deal with multiple stakeholders simultaneously and intervene as both facilitators and designers—through short and long-term occupational strategies—constructing supporting structures to make things happen.

Lorenzo graduated in architecture (BA) cum laude in Florence in 2013 and received his Diploma with Honours from the Architectural Association in 2016.

He was Programme Head of the AA Visiting School El Alto, taught from 2018 to 2019 as an Adjunct Professor at INDA in Bangkok, and taught from 2020 to 2023 at dieAngewandte in Vienna.

Now, he teaches at Columbia GSAPP in New York and co-leads the MA Architectural Design Studio 7 at the Royal College of Art in London since 2022, deploying conviviality as a gentle form of resistance and spatial activism.

Lemonot collaborates with several cultural institutions, including the AAR American Academy in Rome (where co-founder Sabrina Morreale was appointed as the 2024 Enel Foundation Italian Fellow in Architecture), BASE Milano, Scuola Piccola Zattere, Arquine, Architecture at the Edge (West Ireland), Three Rivers Bexley (London), DPR Barcelona, and the LINA European Architecture Platform. Their work has been exhibited and awarded internationally, most notably at La Biennale di Venezia, Concéntrico in Logroño, Milan, Bangkok, and Vienna Design Weeks, MEXTRÓPOLI in Mexico City, Manifesta, FAR Architecture Festival of Rome, CAFx Copenhagen Architecture Film Festival, the Young Talent Architecture Award 2016, and the ATT19 Gallery in Bangkok.

Currently, Lemonot is developing architectural and performative projects in Tuscany, Venice, and for Évora European Capital of Culture 2027.
