Glascock Associate Professor of Professional Practice of Real Estate Development Finance

Christopher Munsell is the Glascock Associate Professor of Professional Practice of Real Estate Development Finance at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Chris teaches both core and elective real estate finance courses and has assisted in restructuring and developing courses in the program. He is interested in new forms of financial structuring as well as investment opportunities that feature a lower barrier to entry. Chris is also a Principal at APRE Consulting, providing acquisitions, asset management and capital markets services to APRE’s clients.

Chris has over a decade of real estate experience in both the debt and equity sides of the business with positions at Citizens Bank, Arbor and CBRE. He has structured and managed more than $3 billion in real estate across all asset types and in more than 20 states. Chris holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.
