William Martin

William Martin is a design technologist and product leader currently serving as director of product management at Consensys, a web3 and blockchain software company.

His current work focuses on building systems for human work, using automation, artificial intelligence, and computation to elevate the mindsets of individuals and teams. He is also researching the applications of generative AI in the spatial design disciplines.

He has taught a range of subjects including design computation, structural engineering, and application development at the Yale University School of Architecture, New York Institute of Technology, and General Assembly.

Prior to his appointment at Columbia, he led product management, R+D partnerships, and product strategy at technology companies including Pivotal Software, VMware, and Recycle Track Systems and worked as a software engineer.

He holds a Masters in Architecture and Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
