Seth Thompson is a designer, technologist, and principal of A Lot of Moving Parts, a Brooklyn-based studio that makes websites, films, publications, and interactive exhibitions about architecture, culture, and technology.
A Lot of Moving Parts develops software libraries, tools for 3D rendering, algorithms for dynamic and procedural design, and online platforms for publishing. The studio has a special focus on interactive visualizations of spatial and technical systems for a broad audience. Clients and collaborators include the New York Review of Architecture, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, City of Alexandria Office of the Arts, Yale School of Architecture, and Pratt Institute School of Architecture.
Prior to establishing A Lot of Moving Parts in 2020, Seth worked at Google as a product manager where he led the Chrome browser teams in charge of JavaScript and WebAssembly.
Seth received a Masters of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Yale University.
