Brooks McDaniel

Brooks McDaniel is a registered architect and is a V.P. of Development at Extell Development Company, a real estate development firm in New York City. In his current role, Brooks is involved in all aspects of building design on residential and commercial projects up to 1 million square feet. Prior to his current position, Brooks was a Project Director at SHoP Architects in New York, where he worked on various cultural, residential, and institutional projects. In addition to spending 5 years at SHoP, he also worked as an architect at Asymptote Architecture, Davis Brody Bond, and Roger Ferris & Partners. Before beginning his career as an architect, Brooks worked as a professional sailor on private yachts around the world, and has sailed to all seven continents. He has a BS Management and BS Marketing from Lehigh University, and a Masters of Architecture from Parsons New School in New York.
