Adjunct Assistant Professor

Javier “Javi” Lopez has worked in non-profit, academic, and government settings at the intersection of racial justice and interpersonal violence, environmental justice, and health equity for nearly two decades.

Javi brings expertise in structural power and equity, organizational and movement strategy, adaptive leadership and change, organization and network development, systems change advocacy, and strengths-based inquiry and engagement. His passion for racial justice and movement work can be traced back to his family. A product of Black and White Puerto Rican parents, he was educated from a young age on how racism and anti-blackness can be embedded in a person’s daily life and life experiences.

Javi is currently the principal and founder of Real Time Response, Inc. (RTR), a Puerto Rican founded and led consultancy that partners with change agents who are looking to enhance and advance their organization’s vision and mission.
