Kevin Schorn

As an architect and engineer, Adjunct Assistant Professor Kevin Schorn has employed technical skill and aesthetic sensitivity to help create some of the most important and acclaimed buildings in the world. He has been a critical leader on Renzo Piano’s design team for some of the firm’s historic projects, including the new Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and the Krause Gateway Center in Des Moines. In 2019 Kevin formed his own practice in New York.

In addition to GSAPP, Kevin has taught at the Yale School of Architecture, served as a critic for the Princeton University School of Architecture, and lectured at Iowa State University College of Design. In 2018, Kevin sat on the jury for the national AIA COTE Top Ten awards.

Before joining Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Kevin worked at the industry-leading façade consulting firm Front Inc, in New York, and as a structural engineer in Ontario, Canada.

Kevin has earned master’s degrees in both engineering and architecture.
