Josep Ferrando: System and Flexibility

Mon, Apr 10, 2017    6:30pm

(scroll down for portuguese)

The Catalan architect Josep Ferrando has developed in recent years his own way of creating projects, a particular way through a holistic operation. The main characteristic of all these projects is that the design is radically multi-scalar in nature, that is, all the details, the parts and the whole are generated simultaneously. They are expressions of the same thing on different scales. All scales are considered at the same time, and in the end a certain form is not drawn, but a system of aggregation in many possible forms.
