Intro to Architecture for High School Students
Accept our offer of admission within two weeks of receipt of your admission letter.
Submit your nonrefundable $200 deposit. The deposit fee requires a credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).
Activate your UNI, an ID number that will allow you to access all of Columbia University’s electronic resources.
- For more information, including instructions, visit Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT). The activation process requires you to submit your name, birth date, and social security number (if applicable).
- After you activate your UNI, please log in to your Columbia University email account at LionMail.
- All communication from the Office of Student Affairs will be sent to the email that you listed on your application until the first day of classes. After that point, all communication will be sent to your Columbia email address.
Credentials Verification: All enrolling students must provide official transcripts by Friday, June 26, 2026.
- Enrolled students who are not able to make this deadline must reach out to the Admissions office for guidance.
- For a transcript to be considered official, it must be sent by the high school through a secure approved electronic delivery method (e.g., Parchment, Clearing House) or directly from a school official’s professional email (counselor, registrar) to Columbia GSAPP at arch_admissions@columbia.edu.
- If the transcript is not in English, an official English language translation must also be provided directly from a certified translation service.

Register online for ARCHA1002_D02 “Introduction to Architecture Design (High School – Remote)”. Students will receive detailed instructions on how to register in the weeks leading up to the program.
Attend the online orientation and participate in the first day of class on Monday, July 6, 2026, which will be held online.

High school students will not receive a Columbia University ID card and will not have access to Columbia’s campus or facilities. This program is conducted 100% online.
