FoodLab64

FoodLab64 rethinks ‘Farm to Table, Table to Garbage, and Garbage to Farm’ to encourage students to think about the lifecycle of food beyond the table. Mindful of the rising demand for food, the school looks towards ideas for growing sustainably in our cities while maintaining a responsible attitude towards food waste. The replicable nature of this school finds itself highly adaptive to New York City blocks. It invites the surrounding buildings to bypass supply chains through direct distribution through the shared community zone between property owners and schools. FoodLab64 believes that there is no such thing as waste and repurposes all scraps into productive means.
