To combat Rio de Janeiro’s climate crisis, our design repurposes Brazil’s abundant sugarcane bagasse. By leveraging its carbon sequestration potential, we transform this resource into eco-bricks for architecture, infrastructure, and landscapes. In Barra Olympic Park, we retrofit an underused tennis stadium as a production hub. These bricks create a dynamic edge that unites programs, boosts biodiversity, and restores habitats. By phasing implementation, we balance human and natural systems, turning the park into a carbon sink and fortifying Rio’s climate resilience.
