Situated on the former location of a Sherwin Williams paint factory, the project proposes a phytoremediative system to address the historic leaching of toxic materials into the ecosystem and their effects on the health of the community. The site is reimagined as a nursery for bioaccumulating flowers and ferns native to the region that incorporates developmental activities for neurodiverse children. As the plants are disseminated along local waterways, the former brownfield becomes a multi-colored landscape and educational resource for the region.
