Generative Art Gallery

The Generative Art Gallery is an in-home ambient projection that adds comfort and homeliness to the nighttime experience. The experience is a byproduct of multiple practices and tools used: photography, Lightroom, P5.js, Motionleap, and a custom IFTTT applet. The visual display was produced using original photos and manipulating their pixel data in P5.js. The generated result was then brought into Motionleap, an AI software for photo manipulation, to move selected portions within the image resulting in the final product. Once an IFTTT applet triggers the projector on, the user can select which objects to project the displays onto resulting in a scenic and dynamic experience for the user’s nighttime haven.
