Historically, the South Bronx has been disproportionately affected by the municipality’s waste management system. The distrust between urban governance and its inhabitants was exacerbated by resulting health injustices, environmental inequality, and a loss of home. How can systems of waste be reimagined as a means to restore environmental comfort and facilitate the reclamation of sensory ownership?
