Artificial Life Preservation Center

This project is about wildness and sanity, urban and nature, human and non-human. It is also about architecture as an enclosure: architecture as an enclosure separated the wildness and alien ecosystem from the urban condition (New York City) while at the same time enabling the two to co-exist. Wildness in this project appears alongside a strictly controlled system as wild grass bursts from the concrete pavement. Without control, wildness is no wildness.
