Independent Study

ARCHITECTURE

In order to enroll in the architecture programs independent study ARCHA6900 Research I and/ or ARCHA6901 Research II, the following is required:

1) Select a faculty advisor who will be teaching at GSAPP during the semester in which you wish to enroll (a professor on leave may not supervise an independent study).

2) Write a one-page proposal for the course. Include a concise description, deliverables, and indicate how many points you are proposing to earn (2 pts or 3 pts).

3) Have your faculty advisor sign off on the proposal.

4) Submit the signed proposal and an add/drop form for the independent study course to GSAPP Student Affairs: studentaffairs@arch.columbia.edu or Avery 400.
