In Memoriam
Brandon Cook ‘00 M.Arch

Brandon cook

Columbia GSAPP sadly shares the loss of Brandon Cook, a graduate of our NY Paris and Master of Architecture programs, adjunct faculty member, friend, colleague, and longtime volunteer.

Brandon attended Columbia GSAPP after earning his undergraduate degree in architecture and neuroscience from Wesleyan University. A teacher and practitioner, Brandon taught at Columbia GSAPP, Pratt, NJIT, and the Architectural Association, and worked for a range of firms, including SITU, BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Atelier Kempe Thill, and OMA/AMO. Cook was also a contributor as a writer to eOculus in New York.

For over 25 years, Brandon was deeply involved at GSAPP as a faculty member in the Intro to Architecture and NY Paris programs; a member of the Admissions Committee (2000-2019); and an alumni volunteer and mentor, participating in the Alumni Conversations series to share his perspective and advice with students, among much more.

On Saturday, April 29, friends and family will gather to remember and celebrate Brandon’s remarkable life.

Brandon is survived by his parents, Jane and Fred Cook.
