The Aesthetics of Equity at Work
Mindy Fullilove Professor of Urban Policy and Health, The New School Parsons
Community residents and planners who are concerned about undoing racism in America’s landscape use principles that have been collected as “Elements of Urban Restoration.” This talk will describe how the University of Orange worked with Interface Studio to use the elements of urban restoration to guide a community planning process in Eastwick, a neighborhood in Philadelphia.
The Lectures in Planning Series (LiPS) is an initiative of the Urban Planning program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
All lectures are free and open to the public; refreshments are provided. For more information or to make program suggestions, email lipscolumbiaplanning@gmail.com.
