Architecture Reading Aid

Sat, Jan 16, 2016    6:30pm

Please join us for an exhibition, talk and panel discussion focusing on the architecture and urban space of Ahmedabad presented by the four book authors from Berlin, Germany.

Description:

The exhibition features the newly released book by four German Architects entitled ‘Architecture Reading Aid Ahmedabad‘. The book introduces the reader to the built environment of the north Indian metropolis Ahmedabad. Employing clear axonometric drawings as well as short texts providing both cultural and historical context, it serves as an idiosyncratic travel guide to the city’s architecture in all forms — from modernist masterpieces to informal urban arrangements, sprouting spontaneously up on streets and plazas. For architect and layperson alike, this book serves as an accessible guide to decoding and appreciating urbanism in India.
