Ground Practices and Installations

Thu, Jan 28, 2016    7pm

“The talk will present four of our recent projects (2010-2015)oriented to the architectural, political, anthropological, poetic aspects of the ground. Our concern is how architecture can deal with ground not in terms of founding building but rather as an activation of memory, food supply, and outdoor living.

Four projects will be presented: "The Ark”, Venice Biennale, 2010, “Dionysus Tab”, Plato’s Academy, Athens 2011, “Kernos. A Plate for All”, Bauhaus, Dessau 2015, and a house in Magnesia, Greece (2015) Through these projects lecturers are going to discuss issues like the commons, ritual and every day living performativity, food, sharing and joy.“
