3rd Istanbul Design Biennial initiated a major long-term research project into the last two centuries of design from Turkey. Entitled Turkey Design Chronology, it is an attempt to bring together different fields within a time frame starting from the Ottoman Tanzimat reform era until today. One component of the project entitled Archive of the Ephemeral seeks to become a visual source on objects and spaces, through a collection of family photos and found photographs. The large interdisciplinary team of experts in different fields called Curious Assembly coordinated by Pelin Derviş seeks to spark debate and reach others who may partake in these dialogues by highlighting an interconnected selection

Every saturday the Curious Assembly will organize a series of meetings with experts contributing with their questions and share ideas.
