3 Things I Wish I Knew About Professional Portfolio Preparation with Nika Mo ‘18 MSAAD and Huanyu Chen '18 MSAUD

Fri, Oct 9    12pm

Join GSAPP Career Services for a Portfolio Design Workshop with alumni Nika Mo, ’18 MSAAD, and Huanyu Chen, ’18 MSAUD.

The workshop will cover three key elements of professional portfolio preparation, offering insights from reviewers and the recruitment process. Designed to be interactive, it encourages participants to bring questions and challenges. A speed portfolio review will also be included—please bring a digital or printed copy of your portfolio, whether in-progress or complete.

Nika Mo, AIA, PMP, LEED GA, is a Project Architect at Moody Nolan with global experience in commercial and healthcare projects. She brings expertise in project management, design, and delivery, with a focus on mentorship and human-centered design.

Huanyu Chen, is an Associate Project Manager at MKSK in Columbus, where he works on planning and design projects focused on transit-oriented development, placemaking, and the public realm. Previously, he was an Associate and Assistant Studio Director at Starr Whitehouse in NYC, leading multidisciplinary projects involving waterfronts, streetscapes, mobility, and public space. His experience spans design, production, project management, and team leadership, giving him a practical perspective on how architectural and urban design portfolios are evaluated in professional practice.
