Lucas contributed to educational, cultural, and mixed-use developments throughout his professional endeavors in the United States and internationally. Lucas is interested in the phenomenological entanglements of architecture, being sensitive to the experiential qualities of materials and intentionality in the resolution of spaces. As a former Teaching Assistant in Design Visualization at Columbia University, he is interested in investigating different analog and digital mediums that can enhance architectural narratives and experience in design.
