Columbia GSAPP Career Services and GSAPP Adjacent are excited to welcome architect Harry Nuriev for a lecture and discussion on his work for Crosby Studios, the creative process, and excitement for the future of design.
Harry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, runs a multidisciplinary design and architecture firm based in New York and Paris. Nuriev is revered for his innovative approach to interior design, architecture, and digital space. His work is characterized by an awesome blend of technology, art, and sustainability, emotively reflecting on the dynamic interactions between space, object, and user. Nuriev’s projects have been internationally acclaimed, bridging the gap between the physical and digital realms through a robust series of collaborations with designers and brands, including Balenciaga, Nike, OMA, and Dover Street Market. Nuriev’s work has been featured in the New York Times, the Business of Fashion, and Forbes Magazine, and his book “How to Land in the Metaverse: From Interior Design to the Future of Design showcases his conceptual artistry and effortlessly cool practice.
Through Crosby Studios, Nuriev continues to explore the boundaries of design, creating fantastical and immersive environments that challenge conventional perceptions of space and foster an intimate connection between individuals and their surroundings. Alongside Crosby Studios, Nuriev is a frequent lecturer and contributor to critical discussions on contemporary design and architecture and has previously shared his knowledge at Harvard, Penninghen Paris, and Royal College of Art in London.
