Located at Tiradentes square, the experimental lab by Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation of (GSAPP) turns five years. During this period, it became a reference on thinking the cities on broad and multidisciplinary way, through investigations and an intense and public program of debates, exhibitions and workshops.
To celebrate the date, Studio-X Rio opens the exhibitions “Fight, Occupy, Resist: The Housing Alternatives of Social Movements”, that overlooks examples in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo e Belo Horizonte; and “Expanded Metropolis”, which deals with territorial relations in Rio de Janeiro metropolitan region, analysing the cases of Santa Cruz neighborhood and Rio Paraíba Valley.
