John Moynihan

John Moynihan is currently a Director and Team Lead at MUFG with a focus on Commercial Real Estate finance covering Japanese corporates and their U.S. subsidiaries. Following MUFG’s sale of Union Bank to US Bank, John’s focus is the build out and expansion of MUFG’s project level financing through construction and term loans across the United States. John’s remit includes relationship management, structuring, closing, and monitoring of the portfolio.

John was previously a Director at BNY Mellon covering private companies and high net worth private developers in the Northeast Corridor. John also worked as a Director at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in progressive roles including, syndications, relationship management, and underwriting for the institutional portfolio.

John received an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University, and a B.S. from Manhattan College. John holds his Series 7 & 63 securities licenses and was a former Board Member for the Real Estate Lenders Association’s New York Chapter. Prior to graduate school, John was a class A PGA golf professional and certified instructor.
