Alumni Conversation with Ban Edilbi

A conversation with Ban Edilbi ‘18 MS.AUD is an Urban Specialist working in the Urban, Resilience, and Land Global Practice of the World Bank. Her areas of expertise include urban design, city resilience, and cultural and natural heritage. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre to increase awareness of the impacts of climate change. Her past experience with UN-Habitat’s Urban Lab in Nairobi, Kenya has given her hands-on experience working with cities across the globe on addressing sustainable urban development challenges such as urban sprawl, basic services provision, resilience, climate change, and migration. Ban has a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
