Creating Representational Letterforms with Pen and Paper

Sat, Jul 30, 2016    10am

Can letters be in the shape of anything? Can all shapes be letters? Do letters always say what they mean with their forms? What do they say if they don’t?

We will be spending a day exploring expressive and experimental lettering with illustrator Sasha Prood and graphic designer E S Kibele Yarman. This will be a day-off from pixels, as we switch to good old pen and paper to refresh our sense of form. You are cordially invited to a day of listening, talking, eating, and thinking with type.

This workshop is limited to 20 participants. Please write to postamanifold@gmail.com to confirm your participation.

There will be felt tip pens, pencils, colored pencils, and paper available for participants, however feel free to bring your own art supplies.

The workshop will be conducted in both English and Turkish. Participation is free.
