MACRO Info Session with Alumni Ian Lee, Rasam Aminzadeh and Joud Al Shdaifat

Ian Lee ‘20 M.Arch and MS.RED, Rasam Aminzadeh '21 M.Arch and MS.RED, and Joud Al Shdaifat '20 M.Arch and MS.RED from Macro, A Savills Company will facilitate a virtual information session to discuss their careers as Project Managers, past projects, and current career opportunities. A brief Q & A session will be held at the end.

Ian Lee has a background in architecture and real estate development across commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial sectors. He has helped ensure his clients have a well-built design that brings a greater return on investment. Ian’s designs, research, and writing have been lauded by academics and praised by publications. Ian is experienced in working with and leading teams of all backgrounds, having worked for fabricators, architects, engineers, and real estate developers alike.

Prior to joining Macro, Ian worked at Rockefeller Group, where he was heavily involved in the ground-up development of a 1M square foot logistics center in Pennsylvania, a senior living housing complex in New Jersey, and a luxury condominium in New York City. While completing his M.Arch and MS.RED at Columbia, Ian additionally taught design seminars to architecture students as an adjunct assistant professor at Barnard College.

Rasam Aminzadeh is an Associate Project Manager at Macro. Rasam brings to Macro diverse experience as a design architect and studio production assistant, having worked on schematic design proposals, models, renderings, and construction drawings for a variety of commercial buildings in Los Angeles, Houston, Sweden, Singapore, and China. At Macro, Rasam is an integral member of the firm’s Project Management Office (PMO) team. His role involves maintaining financial data and forecasting documents for a confidential insurance client’s real estate portfolio. His knowledge of real estate development and construction management is an asset to the project management team’s execution of over 20 concurrent construction projects across the United States. Rasam lends a designer’s eye to the presentation of information, producing high-quality client deliverables and dashboards for his client’s executive leadership.

Prior to joining the firm, Rasam completed his Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. He has held Graduate Teaching Assistant positions at Barnard College and GSAPP.

Joud Al Shdaifat is a Project Manager at Macro, with experience in architecture, real estate development, and construction project management. Joud’s interest in architecture lies not only in designing buildings but also in understanding the socioeconomic and ecological influences of the built environment. At Macro, Joud provides critical support to the firm’s owner’s representation and project management of large-scale real estate development projects in the United States and EMEA Region. Analytical, process-driven, and keenly focused on critical details, Joud ensures a high level of organization and quality of information is maintained throughout the life of her projects. At Macro, Joud provides support on pre-development and due diligence, feasibility analysis, and capital planning. Joud has held numerous internships with prestigious firms and organizations, including Robert A.M. Stern Architects, New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, ADW Asset Management, TANKHOUSE, and The Luxus Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Joud completed her Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
