Hudson Rising: Movie Screening and Conversation with Liz McEnaney

Liz McEnaney is the Executive Director of Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation and a co-founder of BLDG BLOK, a collaborative of historians, digital media artists and programmers who are inventing new ways to present city history. Prior to this, she was the Executive Director of the SS Columbia Project and the James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation.

McEnaney has collaborated with institutions and clients including the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Museum of the City of New York, the World Monuments Fund, the Hudson River Foundation, the What is Missing? Foundation and Pentagram Design. She curated the Museum of the City of New York’s exhibition From Farm to City: Staten Island, 1661-2012, and produced the documentary film Hudson Rising that focuses on urban planning issues in New York’s Hudson Valley. She received a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in Fine Arts in support of her research project, Maputo Modern.

Liz McEnaney earned a Masters in Historic Preservation from Columbia GSAPP and graduated from Wellesley College.
