FXCollaborative advances design that stimulates and inspires; design that tells the story of place, of organizational aspiration, and of synergy between the natural and built realms. We believe humanity is at a decisive point in its relationship with the natural world, and must build and occupy spaces in ways that minimize our impact on the health of the planet. Concentrated patterns of growth, promoted by imaginative living and working environments, are essential for a healthy planet and a sustainable future. FXCollaborative is therefore vigorously engaged in the reinvention and revitalization of the workplace, and is committed to the mindset that each component of an environment must contribute to a larger context. It is through our combined disciplines of architecture, interior design, planning, and urban design that we integrate our comprehensive approach and creative spirit to create places that address the full range of programmatic, cultural, budgetary and environmental design parameters.

Please note that this is an offsite event. For those who are not students in the Urban Design program, please email Marnfah Kanjanavanit to RSVP: mk4003@columbia.edu

About UD Sessions
The Expanded Field of Urban Design is a series of conversations with urban designers, who graduated from or taught at GSAPP’s Urban Design program. By discussing their current work and reflecting on how their experience at GSAPP shaped their thinking about design, cities, and politics, the series explores the ways in which the field of urban design expanded since its emergence. UD Sessions 2018 are part of an ongoing inquiry into the work of urban designers. Listen to the related podcast series here.
