Miniseries 1: An Interpretive Center

Paperback
In the first of the CBA Miniseries, Thomas Hanrahan and Victoria Meyers discuss their design for the Elise Chapin Sanctuary Interpretive Center. The center is a public and educational meeting facility situated at the entrance to a natural sanctuary outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee and is intended as a center for the study of the natural and historical aspects of the sanctuary site. Primarily a single volume, it projects into an existing natural bowl and is transformed by a number of spatial and technological interventions within its boundaries.
