Final reviews are just around the corner, but here are some upcoming lectures and discussions to keep on your radar as you’re wrapping up your projects.
Tonight at 6:30pm in Wood Auditorium, Ayala Levin (‘15 PhD Arch) will deliver the annual Detlef Mertins Lecture on the Histories of Modernity. Ayala Levin’s research is concerned with north-south and south-south architectural knowledge exchange, with a focus on building and urban planning projects in post-independence African states. She is currently completing a monograph on the export of Israeli architectural and planning models to Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and the Ivory Coast in the 1960s-1970s.
Jing Liu, Mimi Hoang, Anna Puigjaner, and Hilary Sample will discuss writings that have inspired their own work for the event Women Writing on Friday, April 20. Scroll below for further details.
