Ben Diller-Schatz ‘22 M. Arch, Takashi Honzawa ‘22 M. Arch, and Hazel Villena ‘22 M. Arch will facilitate a virtual information session about working in “Computational Design,” through a brief overview of their respective work. A brief Q&A session will be held at the end.
Ben Diller-Schatz is a Design Technologist at Gensler. Ben is passionate about creating and integrating advanced technologies in architectural practice. He works primarily on JFK’s New Terminal One, Gensler’s largest project to date. He also collaborates with designers on a range of other project scales in an effort to invent and optimize workflows and bring complex deliverables to fruition.
Takashi Honzawa is an Architectural Designer turned Software Engineer/Creative Developer. He is currently a Growth Engineer at Archilogic where he builds applications that understands architectural spaces and pertinent data.
Hazel Villena is a Computational Designer at KPF, where she works on the Urban Interface team. Her work is inspired by emerging technologies that allow for novel design thinking and. Hazel has previously collaborated with design studios like OMA, BIG, Henning Larsen, and Gensler at different scales. Currently, Hazel is focused on researching public space archetypes that could be re-imagined through technology systems.
The conversation will be moderated by Adam Vosburgh, Assistant Director of the MS CDP program.
