MASS Design Group Information Session

Wed, Jun 14, 2023    5pm

Evelina Knodel ‘17 MS.AUD, Talent Davis, and Heather McArthur will facilitate a virtual information session to discuss working at MASS Design Group and some of their projects. A brief Q&A session will be held at the end.

Evelina Knodel
Senior Designer, MASS Design Group
MS. AUD, Columbia GSAPP, B.Arch, University of Minnesota

Evelina Knodel joined MASS in 2017 and works at the Hudson Valley Office in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her passion lies in just and equitable food systems, understanding that food is a primary cultural and social integrator that takes place at many different scales and in varying contexts. Though it is a necessity, equitable access to food is confounded by large and complex systems that are difficult, though not impossible, to change. Much of her work in Minnesota focused on improving institutional food sourcing by building awareness and empowering students. Evelina also continues to hone her expertise in the design of innovative processes for community engagement and the incorporation of community ownership and wealth-building models into the design process. She is very committed to continuing to build relationships in the Hudson Valley and leverage them to catalyze the realization of ideas, implementation of projects, and dismantling underlying systems of oppression.

Heather McArthur
Senior Architect, MASS Design Group
M.Arch Washington University in St Louis, B.A. Architecture, Lehigh University

Heather McArthur joined MASS in 2021 as an architect and is based out of the Poughkeepsie office. Prior to joining MASS, Heather practiced at Weiss/Manfredi Architects in New York City, where she was involved in cultural, institutional, and state department projects throughout the United States and internationally. Before NYC she worked at Marlon Blackwell Architects in Fayetteville Arkansas and taught undergraduate architectural studios at the University of Arkansas. She is motivated to build upon her work and teaching experiences and contribute to designs that promote equity, and community, and embody creative sustainable solutions.

Talent Davis

M. Sci, Social Entrepreneurship, University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business B. Sci, Business Administration, State University of New York at Fredonia*
